From DA Hike to increased salary: More than 1 crore central government employees and pensioners are waiting for the increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief to be implemented from the month of July. There is an estimate of 3 percent increase in DA.
The central government is soon going to give good news to the central employees and pensioners by increasing the dearness allowance i.e. DA. Due to increase in dearness allowance, the salary of employees will increase. Besides, they will also get arrears of several rupees.
In this context, there is a possibility of employees getting a huge lump sum amount. Let us tell you that more than 1 crore central government employees and pensioners will benefit from the increase in dearness allowance.
DA increase announcement possible this month
The central government can announce an increase in dearness allowance i.e. DA by the end of September. The currently applicable DA increase was made effective from January 1, 2023 and its increase was announced on March 24, 2023.
Whereas last year, the increase in dearness allowance to be implemented from July 2022 was announced on 28 September 2022. In such a situation, it is being estimated that the government may announce dearness allowance to be implemented from July 2023. End of September 2023.
Estimate of 3% increase in dearness allowance
Shiv Gopal Mishra, general secretary of All India Railway Men’s Federation, told PTI that the increase in dearness allowance will be up to three percent. After increasing DA by 3 percent, the total DA will become 45 percent. At present, central government employees and pensioners get 42 percent dearness allowance.
How much will the salary increase if dearness allowance increases?
For example, if a central government employee gets a basic salary of Rs 36,500 per month, then according to 42 percent DA on basic salary, it comes to Rs 15,330 per month. If DA increases by 3 percent from July 2023, then the increased DA amount of the employees will be Rs 1,095. Now if we do Rs 15,330+1,095 then the total DA amount will become Rs 16,425. In this way the monthly salary will increase by Rs 1,095.
Salary will also include 3 months DA arrears
The increase in Dearness Allowance i.e. DA is to happen from July 2023. But, more than half of the month of September has passed. If the announcement is made by the end of September, then employees will get 3 months of increased DA as arrears, which will be Rs 1,095 per month for an employee with a basic salary of Rs 36,500. In such a situation, along with salary, the arrears of 3 months will also be Rs 3,285.
