‘Dangal’ director Nitesh Tiwari ‘shocked’ by Suhani’s death

Mumbai (Uttam Hindu News): ‘Dangal’ director Nitish Tiwari has expressed grief over the sudden demise of Suhani Bhatnagar, who played the role of young Babita Phogat in the Aamir Khan starrer. He said that this news is heartbreaking. She was “a very happy person”.
Suhani died at the age of 19 on Saturday morning at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. The reaction to the medicine given after his body was filled with water is being said to be the reason for his untimely death.
Expressing grief over the death of the young actress who appeared in advertisements before focusing on studies, Tiwari said, “Suhani’s demise is absolutely shocking and heartbreaking. She was very happy and full of life. My deepest condolences are with his family.”
Suhani’s last rites will be held at Ajraunda cremation ground in Faridabad.
The sports drama ‘Dangal’ is based on the biography of Geeta and Babita Phogat, who became India’s first female wrestler to participate and win a medal in international competitions. The film also stars Aamir Khan, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Zaira Wasim.
