‘Dasara’ earned Rs 61.30 crore in 5 days

Dasara Box Office Collection: ‘Dasara’, directed by Shrikant Udela, has earned a total of Rs 61.30 crore in the country in 5 days. According to the report of sacnilk, on Monday, the film has collected Rs 3.18 crore nett in Telugu, Rs 6 lakh in Tamil, Rs 1 lakh in Kannada, Rs 37 lakh in Hindi and just Rs 3 lakh in Malayalam. This business of the film is not only disappointing, but it is shocking. This is because in view of the craze of the audience on the opening day, the shows were started in theaters from 5:30 am itself. The film, which was a strong grosser on its release day, was rejected by the audience on the very next day and earned only Rs 9.75 crore on Friday.

Earnings fell 62% on Monday as compared to Friday

However, if we ignore Thursday’s opening day as a holiday release, then ‘Dasara’ has earned 62.56% less on Monday as compared to Friday’s earnings. The thing to be understood here is that the future of any film is decided in the first Monday test. If there is a drop of 30-40% in the earnings on the first Monday (working) as compared to the opening day, then it is considered natural. But the lack of more than this leaves the future of the film in limbo.

Expected from Mahavir Jayanti, Good Friday and second weekend

In the case of ‘Dasara’, however, there is little chance of an increase on Tuesday. This is because Tuesday is a holiday for Mahavir Jayanti in many states of the country. Apart from this, Good Friday is a holiday on the coming Friday. So, there are still opportunities for the film to earn. But here it is also to be seen that the craze of the audience for the film has suddenly reduced a lot. In theaters on Monday, only 20% of the seats were seen in the day and afternoon shows. Whereas in evening and night shows this figure increased to around 22%.

Dasara is made in a budget of 65 crores.

‘Dasara’ was expected to replicate the success of ‘Pushpa’, ‘RRR’ and ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ in the Hindi version. But this did not happen. Rather, in five days, this film has been able to earn only Rs 2.83 crore from the Hindi version. This is the situation when the makers have increased the ticket price of the film to Rs 112 to woo the audience. The budget of ‘Dasara’ is Rs 65 crores, so the film will go beyond the budget and earn profits by Tuesday. But in 5 days, earning Rs 57.54 crore from Telugu version, Rs 45 lakh from Tamil, Rs 11 lakh from Kannada and Rs 37 lakh from Malayalam is disappointing.
