Daughter Riddhima’s post on Rishi Kapoor’s 71st birth anniversary, said- I am missing you a lot today

New Delhi. Remembering the late actor and her father Rishi Kapoor on his 71st birth anniversary, daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahani shared a birthday note saying that she is missing him a lot today.

Best known for his first leading role in the 1973 teen romance ‘Bobby’ opposite Dimple Kapadia, Rishi’s acting career spanned 50 years. His hit films include ‘Khel Khel Mein’, ‘Kabhi Kabhie’, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’, ‘Karz’, ‘Prem Rog’, ‘Coolie’, ‘Nagina’ and ‘Chandni’.

He married actress Neetu Singh in 1980 and they have two children – son Ranbir Kapoor and daughter Riddhima.

On his birth anniversary, Riddhima shared a montage video on Instagram Stories, in which she is seen with her children and family. He wrote in the caption of the video, “Happy birthday papa, today you are missing a lot.”

Riddhima also shared her childhood picture with Rishi and Neetu and wrote: “Carbon copy of papa.”

Kareena Kapoor Khan is Riddhima and Ranbir’s cousin. She is the daughter of Rishi’s brother Randhir Kapoor.

She shared a black and white picture of Rishi and captioned it, “Happy birthday Chintu uncle.” You will always be remembered in our hearts.

Actor Sanjay Dutt, among others, penned a birthday note for the late actor.

Sharing an old picture with Rishi and Ranbir, in which all three can be seen hugging each other, Sanjay wrote, “Chintu sir was more than family, he was the essence of an actor and human being.” . Their laughter, stories and reality bind us together. On his birth anniversary, the void left by him is still there, but the warmth of his memory keeps him alive in our hearts. Miss you sir.

Rishi was diagnosed with leukemia in 2018. He passed away on April 30, 2020. On the work front, Rishi was last seen in the film ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’.(IANS)
