Deepika Padukone rejected the offer to work with Salman Khan not once but 6 times, know why?

Two powerful talents and superstars in their own industry are still waiting to work together in a film. Though they were approached several times to work with each other but things didn’t work out. Salman Khan was trying to pair DP with him even before he started his film career but maybe it was not the right time.

Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone have not got the opportunity to share the screen. Deepika has reportedly turned down offers to act in several Salman Khan films including Jai Ho, Sultan, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Kick. Interestingly, there were rumors that Salman Khan himself offered Deepika her first film. According to an article published in Koimoi, it is said that the actress decided to decline the offer and made her debut two years later with Shah Rukh Khan’s Om Shanti Om.

There was a time when Deepika expressed interest in working with Salman Khan during the making of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah. By then she was Bhansali’s inspiration, so he was hopeful that she would be cast in the film. Unfortunately, he was informed that the lead role had already been offered to Alia Bhatt, presumably with the story’s premise of an elderly man falling in love with a young girl, making Alia more suitable.

There were also speculations that Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone might come together in the film Tiger Vs Pathan. However, it seemed that the film would not be able to leave room for the lead actress, as Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan were roped in as the lead actors.
