The High Court directed YouTube, Twitter and Reddit to immediately stop and remove all infringing content and clips referred to by film producer ‘Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd’. Justice C. Harishankar held that the defendants and all others are at liberty to use in any form audio or video clips, songs, recordings or other material relating to the film “Jawan” or any part thereof without proper license from the plaintiff. is banned.

The court’s interim order came on a plea by the film producer company seeking a ban on the use of material related to the film “Jawaan” on various websites and internet service providers and others. It is alleged that the clips and images of the film are already available on various forums on the Internet whereas no license has so far been granted by the plaintiff to any entity to broadcast or use any portion of the film. This film is going to be released in theaters on June 2. The High Court issued summons to the respondents and listed the matter for further hearing on July 7.
