In an interview given to Mashabale India, Nawazuddin Siddiqui told about depression. He said that this is an urban concept. All this does not happen to the people of the village. And if he told his father that he is a victim of depression, he would slap him hard. He says, ‘Where I come from, it is a big mistake to mention depression. Because if I tell my father, he will slap me. Depression was not there. No one gets depression there. Everyone is happy. But when the city came, then I came to know about anxiety, depression, bipolar.
Nawazuddin said – disease comes with richness
Nawazuddin Siddiqui said during the interview that the people of the city make even a small gesture very big. He believes, ‘He used to come in the cities. Here every man glorifies his small emotions a lot. Now ask a working man or a man living on the footpath, what is depression, he does not know. But when it rains, he dances in that too. He doesn’t know depression at all. So when money comes to you, then this kind of big disease also comes to you.
