New Delhi, 17 November (HS). Indian junior women’s hockey team defender Neelam talked about her journey in the field of hockey. He said that my journey is proof that determination has no limits. He said that difficulties do not matter, what matters is staying dedicated to your dreams.

In a statement issued by Hockey India, Neelam said that when I started, I was the youngest. Always followed her elder sister and cousins. He said that my brother always believed in me. Even in my darkest times, he made me believe that I was the best.

She recalls that sometimes it seemed impossible to raise even Rs 500 for the tournament but with the tireless efforts of my family it became possible. Years of hard work, overcoming financial constraints, family adversities and health challenges resulted in Neelam’s remarkable success.

Due to her consistent performances, Neelam made her debut for the Indian junior women’s hockey team in the 2023 Junior Women’s Asia Cup held in Kakamigahara, Japan, which the Indian team won.

Here, the FIH Hockey Women’s Junior World Cup 2023 is approaching, in which Neelam is determined to leave her mark. The team is set to begin their journey against Canada in Pool C on November 29 and Neelam is confident of their ability to excel.

Neelam says I am full of enthusiasm and determination to give my heart and soul on the field during the FIH Hockey Women’s Junior World Cup 2023. Our focus is on applying our strengths and skills to every game. We are confident of bringing home the title.
