Deepika Kakkar told that she used to stay in Mumbai’s most rotten PG in the initial days. Deepika used to use her dupatta for curtains in this PG when she came to this city. She used to live with her mother in this PG.

Deepika told ETimes that she had come to Mumbai to become an air hostess and had only one suitcase and one airbag. He told that during this he had to live in the worst PG. The actress said in this conversation, ‘4-5 girls live together in a PG in Mumbai. You do not have any other option as your income is not enough to afford a separate house. People earn 12-15 thousand rupees, in which it is very difficult to run food, stay, travel, training, make-up everything.
Mother also lived in the same PG with Deepika.
Deepika told that there was a time when she did not have time to cook. He told that he had to stay in PG with his mother because there was some problem at home. After this he took a flat on rent in MHADA Colony for Rs.6500.
‘We didn’t have curtains, bed sheets and mattresses’
Deepika said, ‘We did not have curtains, bed sheets and mattresses. I remember we bought a mattress for Rs 300-400 since it was very urgent. From then till about 15-20 days till my salary came, we remained without fridge, gas stove. We used to wear our dupattas instead of curtains because we were both ladies and we did not have money to buy curtains.
