Dream Girl 2 earns a bumper on the second day, may be another hundred crore film of this year

Ayushmann Khurrana starrer movie ‘Dreamgirl 2’ has dominated the box office as soon as it is released. Even in the storm of ‘Gadar 2’ and ‘OMG 2’, ‘Dream Girl 2’ is earning a lot. After a great opening, the film has done a bumper collection on the second day as well.

‘Dream Girl 2’, the sequel to ‘Dream Girl’, released on August 25, has been the biggest opening of Ayushmann Khurrana’s career. After flops like ‘Anek’, ‘An Action Hero’ and ‘Doctor Ji’, ‘Dream Girl 2’ is proving lucky for Ayushmann. After earning well on the first day, the film has done a good collection on the second day as well.

There was a jump in the earnings of ‘Dream Girl 2’ on the second day i.e. Saturday. As per the figures released by the makers, the Ayushmann and Ananya Panday starrer has collected a business of Rs 14.2 crore on Saturday.

The film ‘Dream Girl 2’ directed by Raaj Shaandilya did good business on the first day. The movie collected Rs 10.69 crore on Friday. Till now the movie has done a total business of 24.69 crores at the domestic box office. Due to ‘Gadar 2’ and ‘OMG 2’, there was no impact on the earnings of ‘Dream Girl 2’. On the other hand, Nusrat Bharucha’s ‘Akeli’, released on the same day, was seen dying at the box office as soon as it was released.

Ayushmann Khurrana’s film ‘Dream Girl’, released four years ago, proved to be a hit. Nushrat Bharucha was in the lead role opposite Ayushmann in the movie. However, Nusrat has been replaced by Ananya Pandey in the sequel. Apart from Ayushmann and Ananya, ‘Dream Girl 2’ is adorned with seasoned actors like Paresh Rawal, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav.

Ayushmann plays the role of Pooja and Karam in the film. Karam, a resident of Mathura, who has to become Pooja to repay his father’s debt, and then the whole drama begins. The film is a full package of comedy and romance.
