The film, directed by Raaj Shandilya, also stars Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Asrani, Manjot Singh and Ananya Pandey in key roles. The movie has been certified U/A by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an approved runtime of 2 hours and 13 minutes (133 minutes). Dream Girl 2 all set to entertain the audience
This Ekta Kapoor production film will be released on the big screen on August 25 and according to industry estimates, it is expected to hit 2250 screens. The distributor, Pen Marudhar, is targeting to touch 2500 screens by Thursday night. The comedy film Yun would have released on a much bigger scale, but two Independence Day releases – Gadar 2 and OMG 2 are also maintaining good screen space in their third week. The advance booking of Dream Girl 2 started on Sunday and the response has been good so far.

Till 3 pm on Wednesday, Dream Girl 2 has sold around 17,500 tickets across three national chains PVR, INOX and Cinepolis. The initial response is much better than all the releases of Ayushmann Khurrana in the post-pandemic world and the film is expected to close its advance bookings around 40,000 to 45,000 tickets. To put things in perspective, Dream Girl 2’s advance bookings are Prithviraj (41,000 tickets) and Shamshera (46,000 tickets), Bhola (36,000 tickets), Raksha Bandhan (35,000 tickets), Circus (31,000 tickets), Bhediya (33,000 tickets), Films like Shehzada (30,000 tickets) are expected to be similar.
Dream Girl 2 can collect this much on the first day
Dream Girl is a slapstick comedy, which is different from all the films done by Ayushmann in the last few years and hence there will be massive day-to-day movement in ticket sales as well. It is expected that the film will make a good start at the Indian box office and will do business of Rs 7.50 to 8.50 crores on the first day. If the film gets plus reports from the audience, then the business can move a bit towards evening and night shows and get closer to double digit opening. Similarly, keeping the film in the range of Rs 7 crore is also not a good report.
