There is big news for central employees working in the capital Delhi. Due to the G20 conference, all central government offices in Delhi will remain closed from 8 to 10 September.
During this, there will be a holiday in the offices of the central government. Earlier, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday approved a proposal to declare September 8 to 10 as a public holiday in view of the G20 summit in the national capital. All private offices, including all Delhi government offices, will also remain closed from September 8 to 10, while markets and commercial establishments will also remain closed in New Delhi district.
According to the Delhi government circular, all schools, colleges and offices of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) in the city will also remain closed for these three days. Some metro stations, including the Supreme Court and the Central Secretariat, are also likely to remain closed for security reasons during these three-day holidays.
During the holiday from 8 to 10 September, except for essential services, heavy vehicles will also not be allowed to enter Delhi. All malls in New Delhi district will also remain closed. All vehicles except goods vehicles and buses will be allowed to enter Delhi from Rajokri border.
For this, vehicles will be diverted from NH-48 towards Rao Tula Ram Marg, Olof Palme Marg. No vehicle will be given entry from NH-48 towards Dhaula Kuan. If a passenger has to go to airport, bus stand or New Delhi or Old Delhi Railway Station, he/she is advised to use Delhi Metro and suggested routes. Taxis and autos will also not be allowed to enter New Delhi district. According to Delhi Police, if an auto has a passenger, it can drop the passenger to New Delhi. Only taxis carrying locals residing in New Delhi district and tourists with valid bookings in New Delhi district will be allowed.
