Emraan Hashmi and Mallika Sherawat have been making headlines ever since they were seen talking and hugging each other at an event in Mumbai. On Thursday, there was the wedding reception of Anand Pandit’s daughter, in which there was a gathering of stars. But why did their meeting and greeting each other catch the attention of so many people? This is because the ‘Murder’ co-stars have been involved in controversies since the shooting of the film in 2003-2004. What happened here?

During the shooting of Murder (2004), some kind of ‘misunderstanding’ arose between Emraan and Mallika and they did not talk to each other on the sets. Mallika had also admitted this in an interview with Mandira Bedi a few years ago, in which she had described her fight with the actor as ‘childish’.

Shortly after the release of Murder, Imran was a part of Karan Johar’s popular celebrity chat show, Koffee with Karan. He came on the show with filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt. During the ‘Rapid Fire’ round, the actor was asked who he thought was the best and worst kisser. In response, Imran took the name of Jacqueline Fernandez as the ‘best kisser’ and Mallika Sherawat as the ‘worst kisser’.

Not only this, they were asked to name the things that they would find in the actor’s bedroom. On Mallika’s name, Emraan replied, “An idiot’s handbook for being successful in Hollywood.” After the KWK episode, Mallika got furious at Emraan calling her a ‘bad kisser’ and hit back at him in an interview. Said he was a snake. I am a better kisser than Imran who I kissed in my film ‘Hiss’.

The feud between the two became the hot topic for many gossip columns until the ‘Jannat’ actor said that he did not hate Mallika, they just did not keep in touch after their film ‘Murder’.
