Why was Emraan Hashmi’s character kept hidden?
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Emraan Hashmi revealed that it was already decided that his part in the film would be a surprise. The actor said, ‘It was a lot of lies that I had to spread because it was already decided. I won’t reveal that I was a part of the film. And if you even watch the promo, the way the trailer was cut, in which I was there, it’s the introduction of the voice and ultimately the reveal of the character at the end.’ The actor further said that everyone in the industry knew that he was doing this film.
Imran gave a funny answer to the question of going to the gym with Salman Khan
During the interview, Emraan Hashmi was asked whether he ever went to the gym with Salman Khan. In response, the actor said, ‘I wanted to but unfortunately I didn’t do it.’ He further said, ‘Our schedules did not match, I was shooting separately. I shot for a few days with Salman, but it was very hectic because there was action, there were some parts which were very hectic.
The actor also told that to get into his character he had to go to the gym and work hard. Imran said, ‘I had to work out because Salman is generally strong. When I entered films, I started off very thin and it was I who said to Adi (Aditya Chopra) and Manish (Sharma), ‘Let me get into some shape.’ He was very clear that it is not just about taking off the shirt and showing abs because it is not that kind of film. So, I said ‘that’s for sure’ but it’s just that guy’s frame, let me get closer to him if it doesn’t match him because he’s been working for a really long time. I am also working out but not as serious as he is. So, I probably had to work hard in 7-8 months and progress as much as I could.
