I am a vegetarian. I don’t drink alcohol. I used to smoke cigarettes earlier but I gave up that too many years ago. I like to sleep on time, exercise. I focus on all the things that make me happy. All this also helps me stay fit and I love doing it.

How Shahid works on his role

Whenever I do anything new, I spend a lot of time with the director. In this way we understand what is the demand of the character. Gradually, we have to spend a lot of time on the character, then it becomes clear that how is our role. I give several months for each character. It also depends a lot on the discussion on the role. From body language to speaking, everything is learned from this. When you do transformation, people talk that you have gained or lost 20 kilos. But apart from this, observing the character also matters a lot. I do not like that I reach the set directly. I want to do my role by giving time and understanding.

This is how Shahid Kapoor was approached for fake

Ever since I saw the series Familyman, I wanted to work with Raj & DK. I had in mind that I should do a show on OTT. It was a new challenge for me to do something for OTT. If you work for 5-6 hours on this platform, then you get a chance to go deeper into the character. Then the opportunity came that Raj and DK came to me with a film. I told him that I want to do a show with you. Then the story of Fergie was getting so big that Raj & DK and we thought it better to make it into a series.

Shahid Kapoor on working with Vijay Sethupathi

Vijay Sethupathi is a big artist. He shows his different glimpse in every film. He is seen differently in every film. I myself like to do different characters. I really enjoyed working with him. Very pure hearted artists were engaged. It was a good experience working with him.

Yes, I am a vegetarian. I read a book when I was 20. After reading that, I decided to become a vegetarian. I am also Radha Swami. Apart from this, Shahid Kapoor told that now it is not the wife but the children who bother me in my house. Son is more mischievous among Zain and Misha.
