Actress Raveena Tandon is currently seen in Hotstar’s web series ‘Karma Calling’. This is the first time that Raveena Tandon is in a negative role. Raveena says that the character of Indrani Kothari is completely different from my personality. So initially I was a little hesitant whether to work in this series or not, but later I took it as a challenge. Highlights of the conversation with Urmila Kori.

The web series ‘Karma Calling’ is a story of deceit, betrayal and revenge. However, in my personal life I do not believe in this word. If someone does wrong to me, I forgive him, but I never forget it. I can’t make myself look bad by taking revenge. I leave everything to karma. I believe that if there is such a thing as right and wrong, then people will definitely get the results according to their deeds. No matter what happens in life. I will do good and I will never deviate from the path of honesty.

I am an artist who obeys the director.

I have done so many films. Has three decades of experience. The director is new, I don’t think about all this. I have always considered myself an artist who obeys the director. The directors have made me the way they want. He knows about the entire project. I learned from my father that the director is the boss on the set. That’s why I believe that every actor should completely surrender himself to the director. During the shooting of ‘Karma Calling’, I used to look directly at director Ruchi after giving the shot. I could tell by his gestures whether the shot was okay or whether I needed to do better.

I will also thank those who did not support me.

33 years have passed in the industry. I will give credit for my success so far to many people. My parents were my greatest strength during the worst times of my life. I miss papa a lot. This is the reason why I always wear his watch, so that I feel that he is with me. Apart from my family, I also want to give credit to those people who did not stand with me in those difficult times. I want to thank them for not giving me any kind of support, because because of this I felt the desire to prove myself more. When everything is easily available, its value is never understood. When people did not give me films and replaced me in their films, I gathered courage and confidence and fought again and made my mark. I will also give credit for this success to myself.

Felt the pain of motherhood after becoming a mother.

Change is inevitable. Every generation will be different from the previous generation, this is natural. What is important is how much you have evolved over time and how much you have been able to preserve your values, education and culture. I have tried to raise my children with the values and education I received from my parents. I would also say that after becoming a mother, for the first time I felt the pain of my mother’s motherhood. The first night Rasha was born, I realized how I would feel if my daughter did to me what I did to my parents. After Rasha was born, I started remembering all that, so that night I called my mother and apologized.

Give children the freedom to decide their own lives

I have been in the industry for more than three decades. My daughter is also getting into acting now, but it does not mean that I will take all her decisions. I have never been overprotective of my children, because they will only learn to get up when they fall, so let them fall. As a parent you should teach what is wrong and what is right. Then I let them decide their life, because if something good happens, it will boost their confidence. If they go wrong, they will learn a lesson which books cannot teach.
