At least 17 fans who had gathered outside actor Shahrukh Khan’s Bandra residence on the occasion of his 58th birthday have complained of theft of their phones. Police gave this information on Friday. The official said that the incident took place on Thursday morning when a large number of fans had gathered outside Shahrukh Khan’s house ‘Mannat’ on his birthday to get a glimpse of him. He said that Bandra Police registered two separate cases against unknown people in this regard on Thursday.

The official said that the first complaint was lodged by a 23-year-old photographer of a national newspaper. Quoting the photographer’s complaint, the officer said, “He reached Bandra Band Stand with friends and joined the crowd gathered outside Mannat. At around 12.30 he realized that his phone was missing from his pocket.” The officer said that later more fans reached Bandra police station with a similar complaint. He said that the police combined all the complaints and registered a case of theft against unknown people.

Police said that another FIR has been registered on the complaint of a 24-year-old youth living in Parel, central Mumbai. He said that till now a total of 17 fans have reported the theft of mobile phones.
