Now, Farhan has finally confirmed that a new actor will take forward the legacy of ‘Don’.

Farhan Akhtar shared an official note on his Twitter handle. In the note, he talked about getting a chance to work with Shah Rukh Khan in two installments of ‘Don’. He further mentioned about a new actor replacing the superstar in ‘Don 3’.
It is written in his note,
“In 1978, a character created by Salim-Javed and effortlessly portrayed by Mr. Amitabh Bachchan captured the imagination of theater audiences across the country. That mysterious character was Don. In 2006, Don was re-imagined and Brought to you. Life by Shah Rukh Khan in his own uniquely charming way. From the Don’s sarcastic wit to his calm yet dangerous rage, Shah Rukh embodied his personality. As writer and director, I have worked with him in not one, but two, Had a great time making ‘Don’ films. Both Shah Rukh and Anubhav are very close to my heart.” The actor added, “It is now time to take forward the legacy of Don and in this new interpretation we will be joined by an actor whose talent and versatility I have long admired. We hope you Show him your love.” Mr. Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan were shown graciously and generously. A new era of Dawn will begin in 2025.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in ‘Jawaan’ alongside Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on 7 September 2023.
