Farmer’s daughter Lalita selected in Indian football team, leaves for Bangladesh to participate in Under-17 SAF Games

Seraikela, Shachindra Kumar Dash. Lalita Boipai, daughter of a farmer from Kharsawan, has been selected in the Indian team for the Under-17 SAF Games. On Saturday, Lalita of Kharsawan left for Dhaka (Bangladesh) with the Indian team. 15-year-old Lalita is the fourth daughter of Deenbandhu Boipai, a resident of Rudrapur village in Kharsawan. Lalita has been fond of playing football since childhood. She has been a junior player of the district team. In the year 2018, the players of the district were selected for Jharkhand State Sports Promotion Society (JSSPS) Ranchi, then Lalita Seraikela was selected from Kharsawan district. Presently she is getting training in Ranchi.

Has been fond of sports since childhood

Footballer Lalita has been fond of sports since childhood. His father is a simple farmer, while mother Budhni Baipai is a homemaker. Lalita is the fourth child of her parents along with her four sisters and one brother. Despite being a poor farmer, his elder sister Aarti Boipai is currently taking archery training at Dugni Archani Academy, while brother Goma is fond of football.

Lalita leaves for Dhaka with the Indian team

Aarti’s other sisters are still studying. Today Lalita left for Dhaka with the Indian team. Seraikela-Kharsawan District Sports Association has expressed happiness over the selection of Lalita Boipai in the Indian team. DSA secretary Mohammad Dildar, Pinaki Ranjan, coach Balram Mahato and Sanjay Sundi have wished their player Lalita as well as the entire Indian team. Earlier, Rinki Kujur and Neelam Khalkho, players from Seraikela Kharsawan district, have been part of the Indian team in Malaysia.
