On one hand, Malayalam industry or South cinema has progressed a lot in terms of story. On the other hand, Bollywood is trying to make rusty things shine by rubbing them with oil. No matter how good they look on the surface, things lose their shine over time because they are hollow from within. This is how one feels after watching the film ‘Crew’. There’s no fun in ‘The Crew’ because the story is already polished.

Story:

Talking about the plot of the film ‘Crew’, those who watched the trailer must have noticed it. The story of the film focuses on three air hostesses, who face some financial problems. No matter how happy one may be on the surface, everyone has to face financial crunch. Geeta Sethi (Tabu), Jasmine Kohli (Kareena Kapoor) and Divya Rana (Kriti Sanon) work as air hostesses in Vijay Walia’s (Saswata Chatterjee) Kohinoor Airlines. These three, along with 4000 employees of the airlines, have not been paid salaries for the last 6 months.

During a trip a colleague from his company dies suddenly. While picking up his dead body, all three of them see that the co-worker has hidden gold biscuits inside his shirt. After this all three air hostesses suddenly become rich. After that the customs department examines these three air hostesses. So what will happen next? Will Customs arrest all three? What was found in the investigation? For this you will have to watch the film.

directing

‘Crew’ is directed by Rajesh Krishnan. Even if the direction had been good, the film could have done better. Actually, after a long time, three big Bollywood actresses were going to do comedy together but the director could not take full advantage of it. Apart from this, Kapil Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh are in special roles but their comic timing has not been used. The jokes in the film are definitely ticklish but they do not make you laugh out loud. Both the story and direction have failed to keep the audience engaged.

Acting:

The acting in ‘Crew’ is fantastic. Basically Tabu, Kriti and Kareena have played their characters honestly. The chemistry between them is good but Kareena Kapoor looks very beautiful on-screen. His acting doesn’t offer anything new as we have already seen him in this type of character. Kriti Sanon’s work is also good. Dilji Dosanjh’s role is quite small, so he doesn’t get to do anything memorable on-screen. Kapil Sharma’s role is quite small and he has been paired with Tabu. Actress Trupti Khamkar has also done a good job with her brilliant acting. If you are a fan of Tabu, Kriti and Kareena then you must watch ‘Crew’. There isn’t much new to the rest of the film, so you’ll be disappointed if you expect too much.
