Asit Kumar Modi spoke in detail about his planning regarding this show in a recent interview.

When asked in a conversation with ‘News18’ whether Asit Modi is planning to make a film on his superhit show, he agreed and said, ‘Yes, there will be a film too. There will also be an animated film. Everything will be done. We want to make TMKOC like a mall. Everything will happen.

Asit Modi further talked about the universe and games of ‘Taarak Mehta’. He said, ‘People love ‘Taarak Mehta’. It’s been 15 years and people still watch it. Now people can watch this show not only on TV but also on OTT, YouTube and other platforms. That’s why I thought that something should be done about the characters of this show. Today Jethalal, Babita, Dayaben, Sodhi and other characters have become household names. Everyone loves them like family members. We are getting love from the audience for the last 15 years and hence I have thought of creating a universe on this show.’

Asit Modi further said, ‘I thought that people love these characters so much, then a game should also be made on them. People also play games a lot. While traveling or in office or free, they definitely like to play games. So I thought of creating my own game. There will also be some comic elements in our game.

He said, ‘I think viewers of all age groups should connect with our show. We should have something for everyone. We are also working on connecting this game to the blockchain. Technology is developing rapidly. So we have to do something with technology. Without this we cannot do anything. It is becoming a digital world.

Asit Modi also revealed that apart from Dayaben, he is also planning to launch other games including ‘Popatlal Ki Shaadi’ soon.
