New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): Former Miss India Tripura Rinki Chakma has passed away at the age of 28 after battling cancer. Miss India Tripura 2017 Rinki Chakma, who was battling breast cancer for the last two years, was admitted to the hospital last month i.e. on 22 February and was kept on ventilator support. Rinki Chakma had won the former Miss India title in the year 2017. Cheema was kept on ventilator support.

In the year 2022, he was diagnosed with malignant phyllodes tumor, after which he underwent surgery. But within some time the cancer spread to the lungs. After which his health continued to deteriorate and it became impossible to continue chemotherapy.
Chakma was admitted to the hospital on February 22 and was put on ventilator support. The phyllodes tumor that the former Miss India was suffering from is a rare tumor of the breast, which usually affects women between 35 and 55 years of age. Due to high medical expenses, last month Chakma’s close friend and Miss India 2017 runner-up Priyanka Kumari had appealed to raise funds for her treatment.
