Sandeep Lamichane will have to face a dark chapter in his career at the age of 23. Lamichhane was arrested at Tribhuvan International Airport in October 2022. He is currently out of jail on bail granted by Patan High Court on January 12, 2023. Lamichane started his international career in May 2018. Lamichane played more than 100 matches and achieved the title of fastest bowler to take 100 ODI wickets at the world level. Imran Khan
Former Prime Minister of Pakistan and former cricketer Imran Khan has been sentenced to three years in jail on charges of corruption by misusing his position after leaving power. He has also been banned from doing politics for five years. Imran was arrested from his residence in Lahore.
Amit Mishra
Former Indian leg spinner Amit Mishra was arrested by the Bengaluru Police for assaulting a woman in a hotel room. A case was registered under sections 354 and 328 of the Indian Penal Code. Mishra had to go to jail in this case.
Suresh Raina
Team India’s former star batsman Suresh Raina got into legal trouble in 2020 when he was arrested in Mumbai for breaking Covid-19 protocols. Raina was among the 34 people who were found partying in a club with singer Guru Randhawa when the ban was imposed.
S Sreesanth
Former India fast bowler S Sreesanth was arrested for his alleged involvement in spot-fixing during the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2013. After spending a month in Tihar Jail, he was released due to lack of evidence. But BCCI did not give him another chance.
Vinod Kambli
Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli was arrested in 2015 for assaulting his maid. The maid lodged a complaint that Kambli and his wife assaulted her. After this cricket had to face legal action. Apart from this, some famous cricketers like Shane Warne, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Wasim Akram, Mohammad Asif and Rubel Hussain also got stuck in legal trouble and they too had to face jail.
