The name of the actor is Manjot Singh. Manjot said in an interview to India Today, “I went to meet Sandeep Reddy Vanga sir and he told me about the character. The role was of Ranbir’s cousin, whom he goes to his village in Punjab to meet. The character’s name was Manjot. At that time I did not have much idea about the character.”

Manjot Singh said, “This character was written well. When he briefed me, it felt great. Then I discussed this with Sandeep sir and told him about the schedule related to my upcoming films. I have been a big fan of his work. I have seen Kabir Singh 3 times. I asked him whether I should do Animal or not.”
