Gadar 2 actor’s statement again on Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan’s friendship after 16 years, know what was sour in his mind

Bollywood actor Sunny Deol made a significant comeback in the year 2023 thanks to Gadar 2. This period also saw the resolution of his long-standing differences with Shah Rukh Khan, symbolized by a joint appearance at the success celebration of Gadar 2. In a recent interview, Sunny reflected on his new equation with Shahrukh and the overwhelming support he has received from both past and present actors who attended the success party of Gadar 2.

Addressing the viral picture of them embracing Shahrukh and setting aside their differences, Sunny told Hindustan Times, “Everyone has moved on in life. And are mentally happy, secure with what they have. He was not like this when he was younger. Now everyone is happy and satisfied. Every one of us knows what we did wrong or right. Time is a healer. It’s best to leave it there. I was very happy that everyone came to my party.

The rift between Sunny Deol and Shahrukh Khan arose during the 1993 film Darr. Contrary to SRK’s glorification of the antagonist role, Sunny was not satisfied with his portrayal of the hero character. He told this to the film’s director Yash Chopra. However, the portrayal of his character remained the same. During a discussion with Yash Chopra, Sunny even tore her pants in frustration. After the release of the film, the actor avoided communicating with Shahrukh for 16 years. However, both of them put aside their differences during the celebration of the success of Gadar 2.

During the conversation, Sunny Deol, who usually avoids social gatherings, appreciated the turnout of stars who attended the success party of Gadar 2. Recalling a moment with Salman Khan, Sunny shared, “I remember whispering in Salman (Khan)’s ear. He used to invite me to all his parties. Everyone knows that I am not a party person. It was very hot. We Deols are blessed. It started with my dad, we followed his path. No one wants to harm anyone, we never do that. If I have done something wrong, I apologize. That’s the type of person I am. I am not afraid of anyone, no one can snatch anything from me. We have always been givers. Our journey has been like this. We are all shy.”
