Gadar 2 Box Office: Brake on the speed of ‘Gadar 2’, after earning 500 crores, earned only this much on Monday

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s film Gadar 2, directed by Anil Sharma, became a success at the box office. Movie has earned 500 rupees. The film was released in theaters on 11 August.

Gadar 2 earned 2.5 crores on Monday as per the initial estimates given by Sacnilk.com. So far the film’s earnings have gone up to 503.67 crores. However, the pace of earning slowed down on Monday.

Gadar 2 had the highest single day collection of 55 crores on Independence Day. While the movie had previously collected 284.63 crores in VK. It did a business of 134.47 crores in the second week and 63.35 crores in the third week.

A sequel to the 2001 superhit film Gadar Ek Prem Katha, Gadar 2 has performed well in theatres, especially on single screens, since its release on 11 August. The film had an opening of 40 crores.

In Gadar 2, Tara Singh has to go across the border to Pakistan in order to save his son Jeetat, played by Utkarsh Sharma. Utkarsh also worked in Gadar.

Talking about the film, Anil Sharma had said in an interview to PTI, “Making a mass entertainer is not easy. It’s tough because you have to portray this larger than life hero in such a way that everything he does looks real as well as entertaining.

Anil Sharma had said, while making a realistic film, you can talk to the person and other people on whom the story is based, but adding heroism to a film is challenging.

Sunny Deol said on the success of Gadar 2, when he made the second part, he did not know that it would be liked so much by the audience. He said that even though two whole generations have passed, the fans are as excited as they were the first time.
