Gadar: Not Ameesha, one of these beauties would have been Tara Singh’s Sakina, know why Sunny Deol’s film was rejected

The love story of Tara Singh and Sakina in the film Gadar is still remembered by the fans. Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel breathed life into these characters. But do you know that before Ameesha Patel many famous actresses were approached for the role of Sakina but for some reason things could not materialize.

The character of Sakina was first offered to Kajol but she turned it down and then it was given to Ameesha Patel. Director Anil Sharma revealed that Kajol was approached earlier, but she declined to star opposite Sunny Deol in the film.

Madhuri Dixit was at the peak of her career in the 2000s when she was offered Gadar. As per reports in BollywoodLife, the actress refused to work with Sunny Deol, though she had previously done a film titled Tridev with the actor.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s name is also in the list of rejecting Gadar. Former Miss World was offered a film with Sunny Deol in the early days of her career. He reportedly rejected it because Sunny Deol’s films are action-oriented.

Currently Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel are busy with Gadar 2. The period drama will continue the story that ended 22 years ago in Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma will be seen in the action drama. The film is scheduled to release on August 11 around Independence Day 2023.
