Alia Bhatt’s mother Soni Razdan had revealed in an interview that she was offered a role in the film but could not be a part of it due to her busy schedule. Speaking to The Indian Express, Soni Razdan had said, “The one project that was offered to me was Gadar and I had declined it at that time.”

The actress was unable to go to Lucknow

Disclosing the reason for this, he said, “I was producing my show called ‘Aur Phir Ek Din’ for Star Plus at that time. I was dealing with the date issues of the actors. I was a producer and was unable to go to Lucknow for the shoot. I had to go to Lucknow for the shooting of this wonderful project, which I said no like a fool.
