Mumbai (Best Hindu News): The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards is one of the famous award function held every year. The 23rd IIFA Awards are being held in Abu Dhabi. The award in the technical category was announced on Friday. These included cinematography, screenplay and editing categories. ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ won the award in several categories. The main event of IIFA will be held tonight.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ won the award in 3 categories. Sanjay and Utkarshini Vashishtha received the Best Screenplay Award. Along with this, he also won the award for Best Cinematography and Dialogue. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer film ‘Brahmastra’ was selected for Best Special Effects (Visual).

At the same time, Karthik Aryan’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ won two awards. Among them, the Bosco-Caesar duo won the Best Choreography Award for the title track. The film scored a second win in Best Sound Design. Apart from this, Ajay Devgan starrer ‘Drishyam 2’ received the award for Best Editing. Best Background Score went to ‘Vikram Vedha’ and Best Sound Mixing went to ‘Monica O My Darling’.

The first day of IIFA Awards was hosted by Rajkumar Rao and Farah Khan. Amit Trivedi, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sukhbir Singh, Palak Muchhal and Badshah performed on the stage. Apart from them Jacqueline Fernandes, Rakul Preet Singh and Yunia Vantur performed dance. Whereas tonight the main event will be hosted by Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan.
