Guneet Monga’s teacher praised, said- she was creative since college days

Lucknow: Guneet Monga, the producer of The Elephant Whispers, which won the Best Documentary Short Film award at the 95th Oscar Awards, has a special connection with Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Professor Govind Pandey, Dean, Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, School of Media and Communication, Dr. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, is proud to inform that he has completed his PhD in 2002 from the Madhu Bala Institute of Communication and Electronic Media (MIE) affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. MBICEM) taught Guneet. Professor Pandey said, Guneet Monga was a student of Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication at MBICEM, where I used to teach television journalism and also give information about short films. She further said, she was creative since her college days and used to actively participate in activities.

I urge Guneet to inspire others to make meaningful documentaries. As a teacher, I urge him to get as many awards as possible. Inspire many more young filmmakers to make meaningful documentaries. His Oscar winning film is a great example of peaceful living of humans and animals in their natural habitat. Zoologist Dnyaneshwar Shukla said, Elephant Whispers is a wonderful documentary film, which shows the relationship between humans and animals. Unfortunately, our universities have hundreds of undergraduates, postgraduates and doctorates in zoology, but not a single zoologist can match this production. It is motivating to change and revise the syllabus to encourage more such presentations. This is Guneet Monga’s second Oscar. Earlier, in the year 2019, in the documentary short category, Period. Won an Oscar for End of Sentence. Monga was the executive producer of this film.
