All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who became the player of the match for his all-round performance in India’s spectacular 434-run win against England, said on Sunday that you will not get wickets easily on this wicket, here you will have to work hard. You have to work hard to take wickets, bowl in the right areas.

(Different stages of this double century) It was quite difficult for me because initially I was not able to score runs. So the session had to be played and set up. That’s when I felt I could score runs. After a while my back was not feeling well. I didn’t want to go out but because the pain was too much I went out.

Jaiswal said, ‘Today when I came, I wanted to make sure that I take the game forward and bat till the end. I felt there was something in the wicket. For me, it was important to give a good start to the team so it was important for me to play for a long time. I tell myself that whenever I set out, I need to score well because you can get out anytime. My seniors have explained this to me. The way Rohit bhai and Jaddu bhai played inspired me a lot. His passion inspired me to play session after session. I thought inside the dugout that when I go there, I too have to play like this. But I thought that when I am there I have to give my 100 percent.
