Pudhari Online Desk: Harmanpreet Kaur created history when she took the field to lead Team India in the final round of the Asian Games on Monday (Dec. 25). Till date, no woman leader has been able to do anything for India except Harmanpreet. Indian women’s team would have played both in the Asian Games earlier, but due to the lockdown, they could not play. But in the last match against Sri Lanka, the new Vikram Rachla entered the field as the captain of Team India.
Leadership of Team India in 100th T20 International (Harmanpreet Kaur)
Harmanpreet Kaur led the Indian team in the 100th T-20 International on Monday. On the other hand, she is the first woman leader of India who has achieved such feat. Her half is Australia’s Meg Lanning who has registered her bravery in her honour. Harmanpreet has won 57 out of 100 general category and lost 38. Meanwhile, Meg Lanning has won 76 out of 100 T-20 matches and lost 18. Apart from Harmanpreet, Mithali Rajne (32 ODIs) has led Team India in most T20 internationals.

Indian women’s women’s cricket team won the gold medal in the Asian Games, Coral Boat. In the final match, Team India performed a historic feat by defeating Sri Lanka Women’s Association by 19 runs. While batting first in the match, Team India scored only 116 runs, losing 20 sixes and 7 wickets. After this, excellent performance by the bowlers, India, Sri Lanka, 20 sixes, 97 runs and guards banana. 18 year old Titas Sadhu took maximum 3 wickets for India. Whereas Rajeshwari Gaikwad took 2 wickets. Team India’s batting was led by Jemimah Rodrigues who scored 42 runs and Smriti Mandhan played important runs with 46 runs.
