High expectations from BMCM, will this film prove to be a big opener?

2024 has been an overall average year for Bollywood so far with films like Fighter, Shaitan, Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Article 370 and Crew. There was no film in this quarter which was successful in earning big money. Last time the box office was successful in earning big money through Pathan. There were a lot of expectations from the fighter this year, but it has not been fulfilled. Now action thriller BMCM starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff is expected to fill this gap, but the film has its own challenges.

The music of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has not created the desired impact, resulting in lack of buzz. The film will benefit from its release on Eid but a major part of the film will be lost due to Ajay Devgan’s clash with Maidan. Keeping all this in mind, practical expectations from the film would be to at least give a strong comeback to Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff as both the stars have been going through a tough phase in their careers in the last few years.
