Actor Hrithik Roshan, popularly known as the ‘macho man’ of Bollywood, on Monday expressed happiness over India winning two Oscars, saying it is historic for the documentary short film ‘The Elephant Whispers’ to bag the coveted honour. Hrithik wrote on his Twitter handle, “Historic, proud and happy moment for Indian cinema at Oscars 95.
Many congratulations to the team of RRR for the Best Documentary Short Film ‘The Elephant Whispers’ and the popular song ‘Naatu Naatu’. May you all get more strength.” Soon after Hrithik’s tweet, social media users praised him for being a consistent cheerleader of Indian cinema.
‘The Elephant Whispers’ directed by Producer Guneet Gonga and Kartiki Gonsalves won the Best Documentary Short Film award at the Oscar-95 Academy Awards. While film director SS Rajamouli’s film RRR’s song Natu-Natu received the Best Original Song category award. The song is composed by MM Keeravani and vocals are by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaal Bhairav.
