I am definitely enjoying my villain era: Trupti Dimri

New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): Actress Trupti Dimri is enjoying the success of ‘Animal’ these days. Trupti has played a negative role in the film. Regarding this, the actress said that she is playing such a role for the first time.

After playing the role of a nice girl for years, Trupti gave a brilliant performance in gray shades in ‘Animal’.

On whether she is enjoying her transition to the villain era, Trupti told IANS, “I am definitely enjoying it. As an actress, I always want to do different roles. I always wanted to play characters or be a part of films that were challenging and out of my comfort zone, and this was exactly that.”

She further added, “I have always been on the good side of things, and for the first time I was playing a character that was negative, and it was beautiful to explore Zoya’s world.”

The actress recalled the conversations she had with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga about bringing the character Zoya to life.

The 29-year-old actress said, “Once when we were signing the project, I spoke to my director and he said, ‘I know it’s a negative character, but I don’t want to look negativity in the eyes. When you look at negative characters, when you think about negative characters, or when you think about portraying it on screen, you have a certain pattern.”

Trupti said, “The way we have always seen negative characters, they have a certain way of working. There is a certain way of saying things. She said, ‘I wanted to keep him away from this and I want you to come here with the intention of killing this person or planning this, but in your eyes I only want to see love for him, I only want to see the innocence of people Am.”

She admits that it was a bit challenging.

The actress said, “That part for me was challenging and exciting at the same time, and I said, ‘Wow, this is something that would be beautiful to explore. I hope we have managed to do that in the film.”
