I can never dance like Madhuri Dixit in Mera Piya Ghar Aaya: Sunny Leone

Mumbai Actress Sunny Leone shared that she was nervous about shooting for the song ‘Mera Piya Ghar Aaya 2.0’, the original track of which was filmed on Madhuri Dixit. Sunny said she could never do it the way the star did in the track from the 1995 blockbuster ‘Yaaraana’.

Sunny will come to promote her new track ‘Mera Piya Ghar Aaya 2.0’ in ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ 2023.

The new season of the iconic singing reality show, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ has Himesh Reshammiya, Neeti Mohan and Anu Malik as judges and Aditya Narayan as the host.

The actress came to promote her upcoming music video, which is a recreation of Madhuri Dixit’s iconic song ‘Mera Piya Ghar Aaya’, released by Zee Music Company.

Composed by Anu Malik and NB, the song showcases the vocal talent of Neeti Mohan.

During the promotional event, Sunny talked openly about the project.

The actress said, “I was very nervous before shooting this song and I know that I can never do it the way Madhuri ma’am has done it. This song is an iconic song of Bollywood and my performance is based on her. The copy is a humble gift.”

Sunny said, “Madhuri Dixit has been a source of inspiration for my career. Whenever I perform on my songs, my aim is to capture her beautiful expressions.”

She added: “I have worked really hard to perfect Vijay Ganguly’s choreography and it is a great honor to dance on this iconic number. It’s like seeing a dream come true. I can’t wait for the audience’s reaction.”

On the work front, he was recently seen in the neo-noir thriller ‘Kennedy’ directed by Anurag Kashyap. Rahul Bhatt is also with Sunny in the film. The film premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.

Sunny’s next film is Malayalam film ‘Rangeela’ and Hindi film ‘Koka Coca’ and ‘Helen’.
