Digital Desk, Mumbai. Actor Arjun Kapoor is a huge fan of Vishal Bhardwaj’s Kaminey and says he was overjoyed when the makers of Dog told him that he would be a part of the cult hit song Dhan Te Naan from the 2009 film.
Arjun said, Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kaminey is my all time favorite film and I remember when Dhan Te Naan released, I used to dance to this song at every party. It was a new, catchy and upbeat song.
So, when the makers told me that Dhan Te Naan would be a part of the dog and I would get to dance on it, I was thrilled! It is like a dream come true for me. I have danced my heart out on this song for the dog in my own style. I just let go because I was very happy dancing to a song that has so many memories attached to it from my past.
On the day of shooting for this song, I had to pinch myself several times as I could not believe that I am dancing to Dhan Te Naan for my film! This is our ode to the original cult hit. Dog also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Konkona Sen Sharma, Tabu, Kumud Mishra and Radhika Madan in an excellent cast. The film is directed by Aasman Bhardwaj, son of debutant filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj. It will release on January 13, 2023.
