She said that all she knows is that what she has done is that she did not take her fame in India to her head and that is probably why she is where she is today. Priyanka was in India for the premiere of the US version of the show ‘Citadel’ on OTT (over the top) platform ‘Prime Video’. Apart from Priyanka, it also stars actor Richard Madden in the lead role. The first two episodes of the “Citadel” series will premiere worldwide on April 28 on Prime Video in 40 languages. The actress said, “I am from India and here I am a big artist and I have a team of 20 people. I don’t do that there (in Hollywood). I audition I don’t hesitate to go into the room and show my talent. I am not afraid of work. I don’t let my ego or pride get the better of me.
Priyanka started her career in Hollywood in 2012 as a singer. The actress’s songs ‘In My City’ and ‘Exotic’ were widely appreciated. The actress later also appeared in ‘ABC’ drama series ‘Quantico’ in 2015. She was the first South Asian actress to feature in an American network series. Priyanka then did her first Hollywood film ‘Baywatch’ in 2017. Recently she appeared in ‘The Matrix Resurrection’. In her 20-year-long career in the Hindi film industry, Priyanka has worked in hit films like ‘Fashion’, ‘Kaminey’, ‘7 Khoon Maaf’, ‘Barfi’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’, ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’.
Priyanka said that whether it is Bollywood or Hollywood, the way of working is to do small roles first and prove your talent. “That’s what I did when I started my career in Bollywood too… That’s how things are done in the film world,” he said.
