Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana talks about how cinema was a part of his everyday life while growing up and says he grew up inspired by the work of legends like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna, Shah Rukh Khan, Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. Ayushmann said that he is living his childhood dream of becoming a hero on the big screen. The ‘Vicky Donor’ fame actor said, “I remember I used to be very excited every time I went to the theaters. I loved the world that the movies took me into. I considered the hero as an ideal. We also always watched movies on TV. Cinema has always been an important part of our daily lives.” He further added, ”I grew up fascinated by the work of some of the great heroes like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna, Shahrukh Khan, Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan. Am! I also wanted to become a big screen hero. So, I am now living my dream and I consider myself extremely fortunate that I have carved a niche for myself.” He said, “The industry has welcomed me brilliantly and the audience has given me a lot of love. I respect it with all my heart.” The actor is grateful that his parents inspired him to pursue his dream of becoming a Hindi film hero. He said, “The love for films is what made me pursue theater in college. It pulled me to Mumbai, where I tried to make a name, struggled for years, cried with joy when my films took off. If the love for films in my heart and mind was not enough, I would have left the city or the industry. Ayushmann further added, “When I look back, I feel grateful that I grew up in cinema and how my parents encouraged me to pursue my dream. Inspired.”On the work front, he was last seen in ‘An Action Hero’. His next film ‘Lovebirds’ is in the pipeline.–IANS
