Mumbai Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal, who is in the news for the biopic ‘Sam Bahadur’ based on the life of India’s first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, has said that if he gets an Oscar for the film, he will dedicate it to the Indian Army.
Featuring some spectacular production and set design, VFX, acting, dialogue and aesthetics true to historical authenticity, ‘Sam Bahadur’ stars Vicky, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra in the lead roles.
Vicky has 16.4 million followers on Instagram and he often shares updates with his fans.
He recently did an “Ask Away” session with his fans for ‘Sam Bahadur’.
A fan asked: “If you got an Oscar or a Filmfare for ‘Sam Bahadur’, which one would you dedicate it to?”
Responding with a scene from the film, Vicky wrote, “Will surrender to the Indian Army.”
Another fan asked: “Tell us a little more about your character ‘Sam’.”
The actor said, “Rab ka banda hai yeh… sabka banda hai yeh!”
A fan from Nepal asked the ‘Raazi’ actor: “How was the experience of learning about the history of Gorkha?”
Vicky said: “Inspirational and truly inspiring!”
“If you had the chance to meet Sam in person, what would you ask him?” Vicky replied: “I would be absolutely stunned and speechless!”
