Rice – 1/2 cup
Tomato – 2
Potato – 2
Onion – 2-3
Green chilli – 2-3
Ginger-garlic paste – 2 tsp
Cumin – 1 tsp
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
Biryani masala – 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
Large cardamom – 2
Small cardamom – 2
Asafoetida – 1 pinch
Cinnamon – 2 pieces
Green coriander chopped – 2 tbsp
Lemon – 1/2
Bay leaves – 2
Oil – 2 tbsp
Salt – as per taste

Method to make Matar Pulao:

1, To make Matar Pulao, first wash the rice thoroughly. After this, soak the rice in water for some time. Now cut onion, tomato, green chilli and potato into small pieces.

2.After this, put oil in the cooker and heat it, then when the oil becomes a little hot, add cumin and asafoetida and fry.

3. Then add finely chopped onion, green chillies, potatoes and peas and fry it lightly.

4. After this add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and other dry spices and mix well with a ladle.

5. After frying for two-three minutes, when the onions and tomatoes become soft, add the soaked rice to the cooker and fry for some time while stirring.

6. After this, add water as per requirement in the cooker, cover the cooker with lid and take 2-3 whistles.
