The 23rd edition of IIFA (International Indian Film Academy Awards) is in the news, which was held last night in Abu Dhabi, Dubai. Many Indian stars participated in this spectacular award show. Filled with glam and glitter, the IIFA Awards started with a bang and ended with several big names winning the show. Actors Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal co-hosted the show. Best Actor and Best Actress Award
Actor Hrithik Roshan received the IIFA Best Actor Award. He was given this award for his performance in the film ‘Vikram Veda’. Whereas, actress Alia Bhatt won the IIFA Best Actress Award for her film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. For information, let us tell you that due to ill health of Nana, Alia could not attend the IIFA Awards. Apart from this, Hrithik gave a great speech after winning the awards, which is being discussed a lot.

Bollywood’s finest playback singer Arijit Singh bagged the IIFA Award for Best Singer – Male for the song ‘Kesariya’. Since Arijit was not present at the ceremony, Pritam Chakraborty received the award on his behalf. Whereas, singer Shreya Ghoshal received the IIFA Award for Best Female Playback Singer for the song Rasiya from ‘Brahmastra’. Let me tell you, both these songs of Brahmastra were blockbusters and are still on people’s lips.
Best Supporting Actor and Actress Award
The best supporting actor award went to Anil Kapoor for his role in the film ‘Jug Jug Jio’. At the same time, the Best Supporting Actress Award was given to Mouni Roy for her role in the film ‘Brahmastra Part 1’.
Best Debut Actor and Actress
The Best Debut Actor award went to Babil Khan, son of late Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan. Debutant Babil shared it with actor Shantanu Maheshwari. Shantanu made his Bollywood debut with the film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. The performances of both Babil and Shantanu were highly appreciated by the audience. Whereas, the Best Debut Actress award was given to Khushali Kumar for the film ‘Dhokha’ Around the Corner.
