Ilam Chand Insan, an international yoga player and veteran athlete living in Shah Satnam Ji Nagar, has once again proved his talent by winning four gold medals in the Open National Sports Championship held under the Rural India Sports Development Program in Gurgaon. Ilam Chand Insan gave full credit of his victory to the pious teachings and mercy of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insan, head of Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa.
The Open National Sports Championship was organized under the three-day Rural India Sports Development Program at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Gurgaon. In which more than 10 thousand participants showed their jewels. Elderly athlete Ilam Chand Insan, playing in the age group of more than 85 years, won gold medals in pole vault, long jump and high jump and gold medal in yoga in the age group of more than 30 years, and the name of village Shah Satnam Ji Pura. Veteran athlete Ilam Chand Insan has won more than 450 medals so far. In which about 100 international, about 200 President’s and other district, village level medals have been named after them. Life Achievement Award by the Chief Minister of Haryana, Honor by the Hon’ble Prime Minister and Veteran in Sports Adventure Award by former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu. Recently, Eelam was also honored by Rashtrapati Jat Mahasabha, Senior Citizen Association, Samant Samrat Salakshanpal Dev Tomar Trust and Treasury Baghpat (Uttar Pradesh) in UP.
