‘I don’t know whether ‘Jab We Met 2′ is being made or not’
When Imtiaz Ali was asked about the news going on everywhere regarding ‘Jab We Met 2’, he said, “I have also read these reports, but no one asked them before publishing, so I don’t know.” When asked if it wasn’t happening completely, Imtiaz told us, “I don’t know about that. Really, I have no idea. I don’t know if this is happening.”
‘I have no idea whether I have been singled out or not’
Imtiaz Ali’s career graph is rich with films like ‘Socha Na Tha’, ‘Highway’, ‘Jab We Met’, ‘Tamasha’ and many more. Asked them what, according to them, sets them apart. He shared, “I have no idea. I am compelled to tell the stories that come to my mind and the first audience member is myself. I am also mainly entertaining myself by making these films. I don’t know if I have been separated or not. But, my sense of joy comes from participating in life, observing the people around me, imagining beyond what I can see in them, and putting that into pictures. So, making films for me is a continuation of life. And this also helps me to live life better. I don’t know what makes me different.”
His last directorial venture was ‘Love Aaj Kal’, starring Kartik Aryan and Sara Ali Khan.
