Mumbai . Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana has written an emotional note on the occasion of Mahashivratri. This is the actor’s first Shivratri without his father.

The actor shared a video of himself singing a bhajan dedicated to Lord Shiva on his Instagram.

In the caption of the video, the actor wrote, “Mahashivratri has always been a family event in our house. Mom, dad, Aparshakti Khurana and I used to go to Sector-6 Panchkula temple every year in my childhood. Last year, when my father was diagnosed with a serious illness, being an ardent disciple of Lord Shiva, he still had the courage to go to the temple alone during Shivratri.

The actor said, “This is our first Shivratri without him.” Ayushmann’s father was the famous astrologer Pandit P. Khurana. He died in May last year due to prolonged illness.

The actor said, “During his last days, he had requested me to send him a rendition of this bhajan. Whenever father used to hear this, he used to say that son, this would sound very good in your voice.
