The issue related to the film is a frightening reality of our society. The treatment of the film has been very close to reality. The film depicts the dirty mentality of the kidnappers. These people worship stone idols considering them as goddesses, but do not give any respect to female human beings. The film also touches upon the issue of honor killings, while also showing that when a woman is in trouble, it seems normal to the onlookers. The film does justice to its title. Almost the entire shooting of the film has been done in the car itself. The Hindi meaning of the film’s title is In Car, which refers to somewhere somewhere. This title also matches perfectly with the topic. Talking about the flaws of the script, the basic plotline of In Car is good and it is also related to women’s safety, a very burning issue of the society, but the film has not been able to do justice to this serious topic. The screenplay of the film has remained weak. There is a lot of lack of drama in this road survival drama. The film keeps running on the same note for a long time. There is a lack of twist and turn. Nothing exciting happens on screen what will happen now. This question does not come again and again in the story. Sakshi had left home to appear for the exam, when she did not reach the exam hall, her friends did not call her home and ask why. Why didn’t the family members take any action? Gyan Prakash’s character was of a policeman. In the narration of the story, the way Delhi Police stickers were shown in the car. The story does not have the same effect as the character of Sakshi has been treated very badly by the kidnappers on the screen. It makes you uncomfortable after a while. The question that comes to mind is whether this was the only way to show the seriousness of the subject.
Excellent performance by Manish and Ritika
This film is of Ritika Singh. He has completely carried the film on his shoulders. He has easily lived every emotion of the character including nervousness, frustration, anger, the spirit of not giving up. Manish Jhanjolia has brought out the character of a spoiled, psycho and criminal minded young man very well. He has played his character with such perfection that you start hating him. Sandeep Goyat and Gyan Prakash also play their roles with ease.
Cinematography is technically effective
The cinematography work in the film is very good. The drone shots and close-up shots in the overhead view are captured with good finesse. The location of the film enhances the effect of the story more than the screenplay. Cameraman Mithun Gangopadhyay should be appreciated for this. The music of the film is average, while the editing is decent. Rest of the aspects also do justice to the story.
