Sony TV has issued a statement after a fabricated video of its popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati went viral online. The channel said they have drawn the cyber crime cell’s attention to the issue and stopped users from re-posting the fake video. In the video, Amitabh Bachchan’s fake voiceover asks derogatory questions to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. A statement issued by Sony TV said, “We have been alerted about the circulation of an unauthorized video from our show, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. This video misleadingly overlays our host’s fabricated voice-over and Discord content. Maintaining the integrity of the show and the trust of our viewers is of paramount importance, and we are proactively addressing this matter with the Cyber Crime Cell. “We strongly condemn such misinformation, urging our viewers to remain vigilant and refrain from sharing unverified content.”
What is there in the video of KBC 15 going viral?
The video cited by Sony TV was also shared by Indian National Congress member Ritu Chaudhary. It looked like a clip from regular KBC programming. However, once Amitabh Bachchan asked the question, the voice changed slightly and it was not matching with his lip-sync, as can be seen in the video. The set of KBC can be seen in the video and a lot of audience is sitting around. A contestant is sitting on the hotseat with Big B. The actor is seen in a black suit.

The contestant immediately chose Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Amitabh’s voiceover declared it as the correct answer. The host then explained why he is called an ‘announcement machine’, causing the live audience to laugh. Big B praised ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ in KBC 15
Amitabh Bachchan praises Manoj Bajpayee, Nawazuddin-starrer ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ in ‘KBC 15’. The 2012 film Gangs of Wasseypur is a two-part film produced and directed by Anurag Kashyap. It has been written by Anurag and Zeeshan Quadri. It stars actors like Manoj Bajpayee, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Pankaj Tripathi, Rajkummar Rao, Richa Chadha, Huma Qureshi and Tigmanshu Dhulia in lead roles.
