IND vs ENG: India’s score till lunch is 388 runs for 7 wickets, big innings expected from Dhruv Jurel

India has scored 388 runs for seven wickets in the first innings till lunch on the second day of the third cricket test against England. India lost the wickets of Ravindra Jadeja (112) and Kuldeep Yadav (04) in the morning session. At lunch, Dhruv Jurel was playing on 31 runs while Ravichandran Ashwin was playing on 25 runs. The first day was great for India. Captain Rohit Sharma and all-rounder Jadeja scored centuries. Debutant Sarfaraz Khan also scored 62 runs. This is also Jurrell’s debut test. In such a situation, eyes will also be on this young wicketkeeper batsman.

Rohit and Jadeja scored centuries
Rohit Sharma’s bat roared fiercely on the first day in Rajkot on Thursday. At one time the team had lost three wickets on the score of 33. But Rohit made a partnership of more than 200 runs with Ravindra Jadeja. This is the third big partnership for the fourth wicket from India against England. Centuries from both the players took the team to the score of 326 on the first day. Rohit scored 131 runs and Jadeja scored 112 runs.

Sarfaraz Khan scored a brilliant half-century
Sarfaraz Khan played an entertaining inning of 62 runs in 66 balls. Sarfaraz was run out. Rohit and Jadeja scored runs easily. He did not face any problem on the pitch suitable for batting at Niranjan Shah Stadium. Both these batsmen presented a good example of concentration and aggression and did not hesitate to teach the loose balls a lesson. Although Wood was getting some movement in the morning session, later this fast bowler tested the Indian batsmen with short pitched balls.

Rohit hit 14 fours and three sixes
Rohit completed his 11th Test century by taking two runs off the ball of leg spinner Rehan Ahmed, which is his third century against England as an opening batsman. After this, Rohit especially targeted Rehan but Wood continued to bowl short pitches. Rohit’s patience finally paid off and in an attempt to teach another short pitched ball of this fast bowler a lesson, he was caught by Ben Stokes at mid-wicket. He faced 196 balls and hit 14 fours and three sixes in his innings.

Jadeja hit nine fours and two sixes
Jadeja batted slowly after getting close to his century. He completed the fourth century of his Test career by facing 198 balls. This all-rounder scored runs on the leg side and his running between the wickets was excellent. He made good use of his wrist and scored runs. Jadeja has faced 212 balls so far and hit nine fours and two sixes.

Sarfaraz batted brilliantly
Seeing Sarfaraz, at no time did it seem that he was playing his first test match. He batted aggressively and presented a brilliant example of his skill in making a variety of strokes by hitting shots all around the field. He hit a flurry of fours and meanwhile sent the ball to left-arm spinner Tom Hartley for a six and completed his half-century in just 48 balls. When it seemed that Sarfaraz would be successful in playing a big innings, then due to a mistake with Jadeja, he had to be run out and return to the pavilion.
