Along with this, Yashasvi Jaiswal also crossed the mark of 700 runs in a test series. Before this, only Sunil Gavaskar has been able to achieve this feat. Yashasvi Jaiswal has another chance to break Sunil Gavaskar’s all-time great record. The record of scoring most runs in a Test series for India is in the name of Sunil Gavaskar. Gavaskar had scored 774 runs in a series against West Indies in 1971. Before this, he had scored 732 runs in a series against West Indies in 1978-79. Jaiswal has scored 712 runs so far, if he scores 62 runs in the second innings then he will be equal to Gavaskar.
