IND vs SA 1st ODI: India’s resounding victory in the first match of the series

Pudhari Online Desk : India vs South Africa ODI series started today (Dec 17). In the first match of the series, India won by 8 wickets. With 17 sixes, South Africa fulfilled the challenge by scoring 116 runs. Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan made penetrating hits and Sai Sudarshan and Shreyas Iyer played half-centuries and India won. This match would have been played on the grounds of Johannesburg.
From India, Sai Sudarshan and Shreyas Iyer scored half-centuries. Sai Sudarshan contributed 55 runs in 43 balls and Shreyas Iyer contributed 52 runs in 45 balls. Sai Sudarshan has scored a half century on his debut. He has become the 17th Indian to achieve such feat. Afrikakaduna, William Malder and Andile Pheklukwayo took 1 wicket each.
Earlier, South Africa decided to bat first. After this, the African Union entered the field with the mentality of raising big runs. Only Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan’s penetrating hits reduced Africa’s total to just 116 runs. The African batsmen were literally left naked in front of the aggressive attack of the fast bowlers. From Africa, Tony De Jorzi contributed 28 runs in 22 balls, Aiden Markram contributed 12 runs in 21 balls, Henry Klaasen contributed 6 runs in 9 balls and David Miller contributed 2 runs in 7 balls. For India, Arshdeep Singh took 5 wickets and Avesh Khan took 4 wickets. Bhopalahi did not break the three African batsmen.
